Spring Furniture Trends 2025

Spring Furniture Trends 2025

Every year, we see new furniture designs showing up on the scene. In fact, it’s around this time that new furniture trends emerge at furniture “markets”, which occur twice per year. These markets are furniture manufacturers’ chance to showcase their new styles and collaborate with all the “hot” interior designers to forecast the furniture trends for the upcoming season.

We saw a few new furniture trends for 2025 popping up at Las Vegas furniture market, which just ended, that look to make an appearance at the upcoming High Point Market, set to take place in April.

Curious about what’s trending in furniture for 2025? Here’s what we’re seeing for the rest of the year.

Move over grey, brown is back

Neutrals are warming up this year, creating a warm, luxurious, and dramatic yet grounded look, especially in “colour-drenched” rooms (aka, rooms where you go big and go home with your colour choice and select different tones of the same colour for everything).

We’re seeing warmer woods — think walnut and burled maple — emerging alongside the popular lighter wood; warmer stones — travertine is making a strong comeback — joining the cooler temperature marbles and granites; and warm, brown-undertone fabrics bringing rooms together and adding a visual hug to the space. This trend is especially lovely because it’s a great way to pull beloved antiques out of storage and set them up in a contemporary space.

Curves in all the right places

This one’s been around for a couple of years now, and it looks like arches and curves aren’t going anywhere soon. Which makes sense, given that curved, rounded furniture adds a sense of comfort to a space, especially when contrasted with a room’s straight lines (architecturally). And really, who doesn’t need a bit of comfort these days?

Curved or rounded pieces make a space feel lived in — makes it feel like home. This trend emphasizes softness and warmth (especially when combined with our browns and dark woods!) You’ll find the curved trend in scalloped accents (a callback to vintage ‘50s designs) on headboards and tables, rounded sofas, sculptural chairs, and curved coffee tables.

Pro tip: If you’re not in the market larger furniture this spring, you can bring this trend into your space with pendant lights or wave-shaped lamps.

Textural fabrics for tactile experience

Boucle, velvet and linen took center stage at the Vegas Market, and we expect to see the same at High Point in a few weeks! This trend is all about creating a more sensory experience at home. Mixing soft, hard, fuzzy, smooth and all those other tactile textures adds depth and interest to your space. Depending on the textures you choose, it can make it glam (metallics, rich velvets) or make it cozy (fuzzy pillows, thick wool), or anything in between.

We’re seeing textural fabrics in tapestries with modern prints, playful pattern combinations with layered rugs and pillows, custom upholstered accent chairs, and even tables with velvet runners that mix hard and soft surfaces.

Canadian Made all the way

Obviously, we’re not seeing this particular trend at the US-based Markets, since they’re, you know, American. But shopping Canadian is definitely trending across the country nowadays — and I’m sure I don’t need to go into why. We’re putting this trend into action this year, aiming to curate furniture and home décor products either made in Canada or Canadian owned companies.

We already have a stellar lineup of Canadian manufactures and Canadian owned companies, which you can browse in our online shop and in our showroom. But that’s not enough (it’s never enough!) That’s why we’ve spent this spring investigating and chatting with a few more Canadian companies, which we’re excited to introduce to you in the coming months.
